We anchored for one very bouncy but beautiful night off Laupahoehoe Nui, a garden of eden land shelf off the North East coast of the Big Island, just up the coast from Waimanu Valley. We were taken there by a permaculturist extraordinaire who has been planting and caretaking this gorgeous place.
We left with choke bananas of the most delicious sort. In fact, Lowell is fairly convinced that these particular bananas are a true super food... hum.
